We Are the Men: Sounds of the Holidays Concert In-Person
We Are the Men, the Cape Cod mens' singing group, under the direction of Chris Roberts, returns this year with another stirring and moving holiday music program. No Registration Needed.
Founded in the spirit and tradition of a Welsh mens singing group, We Are the Men have been performing for over 20 years all around Cape Cod and New England. Wales has a strong and distinctive tradition of folk music, and is most commonly associated with Male Voice Choirs. (Musical historians trace these beginnings back to the men laboring in the Welsh mines: While walking home to their village after a hard day of work, one of the men would start to sing… Soon, all the men would be singing along, quite often in full four-part harmonies. They would sing church hymns, folk songs, songs of religious comfort, as well as songs of longing & unrequited love. (Funding for this concert comes from the Dr. Richard M. Shiff Forum.)
