B.Léger is noted for her intrinsic talent to capture the sea in all its glory. She has a long history of classical training, formal and in studio, with a strong concentration in oil painting. Ms. Léger has also been trained through a Master Apprenticeship Program.
B. Léger has been honored with Master Artist Status with the International Society of Marine Painters. She is also listed with Oil Painters of America. She has an integral part in the resurgence of the illuminist movement. Her work can be enjoyed in premiere galleries all along the eastern seaboard.
As an illuminist, She devotes countless hours building thin layers of pigmented oils to result in refined details. Her paintings in the current collection highlight the fluid complexity of the water with an emphasis on the animal characteristics that magnify the highest human qualities, honor, perseverance and commitment.
