It Takes A Village: A Virtual Tour of Plymouth's Many Villages Online
Have you ever wondered how many "Villages" there are in the Town of Plymouth? With her 134 square miles, Plymouth is the largest town geographically in Massachusetts. Julie Burrey, Reference Associate and History Room Archivist, will share her knowledge of the origins and locations of these villages, dating back to the 17th Century.
We'll look at images and maps from the archives and other source locations, and find out more about these locales, and discover possibly that there are even more villages yet to be uncovered!
It Takes a Village is a five part program, led by Julie Burrey, with Tom Cummiskey assisting. Part II will take place May 18th. This is a virtual event which will take place on Zoom - log-in information will be sent to you prior to the program.
