Raptors in the Real World: Nature’s Rodent Control In-Person

Meet Coco the Red-Tailed Hawk -- A Raptor with a Remarkable Story

Join us for an unforgettable, hands-on wildlife education program featuring Coco, a non-releasable Red-Tailed Hawk with a traumatic brain injury and a gentle spirit. This engaging session is led by a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator and Educator with over 25 years of experience.

What to Expect:

A live, up-close encounter with Coco, whose 4-foot wingspan and calm demeanor make him an incredible ambassador for his species.

Educational posters with photos of other rehabilitated raptors and valuable wildlife resources.

Touch-and-see learning materials including feathers, hollow bird bones, and safely bagged hawk pellets (compliant with Bird Flu regulations).

Discussions on the role of raptors in our ecosystem, especially in controlling rodent populations, and the dangers of rodenticides to wildlife.

Safe, humane alternatives to poisons for pest control, drawn from real-life experience raising ducks and rehabilitating poisoned animals.
